She has done her Masters in History from Patna Women's College. A postgraduate diploma holder in Journalism and Mass Communication Indira Gandhi National Open University {IGNOU}, she is working as an Ad- hoc Lecturer for Women Studies in Magadh Mahila College, Patna University. She is also a Casual News Broadcaster in All India Radio, Patna. She is enrolled for PHD on ‘Violence and the vocabulary of resistance: a study in women's history in the context of 20th century Bihar'. She pursues her interest in freelance journalism.
